How to Show and Present your Werewolf Cavies
- Werewolf pigs must be presented to the Judges on a show board which has a 1cm thick wadding under a washable cover by their owners.
- There are two removable plain coloured covers to be used. Light covers to be used with dark coloured pigs and dark covers to be used with light coloured pigs.
- Failure to adhere to this rule will result in a Disqualification from that show.
Head:
The animal must have a short and wide head with a shapely, Roman arched profile.
The nose should have a good length. Good width which flow around the nostrils.
Eyes:
Should be large, round and appealing.
Ears:
Must be large and falling with ear edges pointing down toward the table and with a good width between
Body shape:
Must have a short 'cobby' body with broad, well placed shoulders.
Should be well fed and have a good substance with a solid body.
Must have a good size that supports the animal's age.
Hair (and where it has to be):
The hair must be frizzy and on the head, it must also be upright.
There should be hair all over their face, reaching over their necks, down their shoulders and along their backs.
There must also be hair on their feet, this must extend halfway up the legs.
Lastly, there must be pubic hair.
Belly should be free of hair.
Skin:
Must be neat, clean, smooth, elastic and warm. It should not be dry, oily or cold.
There must be visible wrinkles around the neck and legs. The more wrinkles, the better.
Coat Quality:
Density should be thick.
Elasticity must be resilient and strong resistance.
The coat should stand upright after handling so that it retains the upright effect.
The texture should be coarse to the touch from top to end.
MINOR FAULTS:
Visible scars as a result of the use of razor blades.
Allergic reaction caused by depilatory creams.
Spots found on the skin.
